A watercolor study of a single Valencia late orange shown from a raised angle, with a bright orange peel shading to a pale greenish-gray crown around the stem end. The fruit casts a soft shadow on the cream paper, and the artist's signature and the date July 18, 1907 appear in the lower right. The work is catalogued under the title Valencia late (Citrus sinensis) by Ellen Isham Schutt in the USDA Pomological Watercolor Collection.
