About this work
A watercolor botanical study shows a whole yellow-green pear with a brown stem above a cut half revealing pale flesh, a central core and dark seeds. The sheet carries the inscription 'Anjou' from Col. G. B. Brackett, Denmark, Iowa, and is signed by Bertha Heiges and dated 1897.
