About this work
A watercolor study by Amanda Almira Newton, dated 1904, shows a whole lemon above a halved cross-section, both rendered with soft shading on a cream sheet. The handwritten inscription notes the specimen was sent by B. M. Young of Morgan City, St. Mary Co. La.
