About this work
A watercolor study shows a single cross-sectioned orange with bright yellow-orange segments radiating from a pale central core, surrounded by a thin white pith and peel edge. Handwritten labels at the bottom give the variety name Golden Nugget, the grower M. E. Gillett of Winter Haven, Florida, and the artist's name R. C. Steadman with dates in December 1918.
