About this work
A watercolor study of a cluster of dark purple grapes hangs from a green stem, with a few lighter green unripened berries among the fruit. The sheet carries handwritten labels reading Templar, N. L. Johnson, 113 East Jacob St. Louisville, Jefferson Co. Ky. and the date Aug 19, 1900. The work is attributed to Deborah Griscom Passmore and is part of the USDA Pomological Watercolor Collection.
