About this work
A watercolor botanical study shows a cluster of pale green grapes with soft pinkish blushes on some berries, hanging from a branched green stem against a cream background. The handwritten label identifies the variety as Lady Washington, with the name James St. Ricketts and a Washington, D.C. address, and the painting is dated 1908 and attributed to Deborah Griscom Passmore in the USDA Pomological Watercolor Collection.
