About this work
A single green leaf with a pointed tip and finely serrated edges is painted in watercolor on cream paper, with a bright yellow midrib and lateral veins. The leaf is centered on the page and shown without a stem beyond a short yellow petiole. This pomological study by J. Marion Shull is dated 1933 and belongs to the USDA Pomological Watercolor Collection.
