About this work
A botanical watercolor shows a cluster of pale green grapes with reddish-pink blush on their skins, hanging from branching rust-colored stems. The sheet carries the handwritten label "Muscat of Alexandria" with "Calif." and "S.C. Husmann" at lower left, and the initials and dates "A.A. Newton 9-28-1914 3-29-1917" at lower right.
