About this work
A watercolor study shows a whole peach above a halved peach revealing its pale flesh and textured brown pit. The fruit is rendered with red and yellow blush and soft shadows on a cream paper ground, with handwritten labels reading 34411, Sea Eagle, F. A. Waugh, Amherst, Hampshire Co. Mass. and the artist's name with the date.
