About this work
A watercolor study shows a whole peach with red blush and a halved peach revealing yellow flesh and a reddish pit. The fruits are rendered with soft shadows on a cream background, with handwritten labels noting the variety name, Arlington Farm, Roslyn, Alexandria County, Virginia, and dates in September 1911. The work is attributed to Mary Daisy Arnold and is part of the USDA Pomological Watercolor Collection.
