About this work
This watercolor shows a whole peach and a halved peach with its brown pit, rendered against a pale background within a thin pencil border. The fruit's yellow-cream flesh and red blush are carefully shaded, and handwritten inscriptions beneath list the variety name Late Admiral, a catalogue number, and the artist's name Deborah Griscom Passmore with the date 1908.
