About this work
A small watercolor of a single peach twig rendered in green and reddish tones, with two plump red-brown leaf buds along its length and cut ends at top and bottom. The twig is isolated at the center of a cream sheet with a faint painted border, and a pencil number appears in the lower right. This pomological study by J. Marion Shull, dated 1913, is part of the USDA Pomological Watercolor Collection and depicts Prunus persica.
