About this work
A watercolor botanical illustration shows a whole orange with a small green stem and a cross-section of the same fruit showing its segments and central pith. The handwritten label identifies the subject as Cured Owari from Silver Hill, Alabama, dated 11-20-20, and notes it was made for comparison with tree-ripened fruit.
