About this work
A watercolor botanical study shows a whole peach above a halved peach revealing its yellow flesh, red blush near the pit, and dark furrowed stone. The sheet carries handwritten labels for the variety 'Seedling Ida' from Cedar Rapids, Linn County, Iowa, and is dated 1908 and attributed to Ellen Isham Schutt.
