About this work
A watercolor study by Mary Daisy Arnold, dated 1911, shows a whole peach above a halved peach revealing its pale flesh and dark, deeply furrowed pit. The fruit is rendered with soft red blush and shading on a cream background, labeled as the cultivar Oscar 4902 from Arlington Farm in Rivelyn, Va.
