About this work
A pomological watercolor shows a whole red-blushed peach above a halved specimen revealing its yellow flesh and brown pit. The fruits are rendered with soft shading and cast shadows on a pale ground, with handwritten catalogue labels in the lower corners. The work is attributed to Ellen Isham Schutt and dated 1908 in the USDA Pomological Watercolor Collection.
