About this work
A watercolor by Deborah Griscom Passmore dated 1903 shows a dark purple whole plum with a slender stem above a halved specimen revealing green-yellow flesh and a central pit. The fruit is rendered with soft shading on a cream background within a thin ruled border, with handwritten labels at the bottom. This is a pomological study from the USDA Pomological Watercolor Collection.
