About this work
A watercolor study on cream paper shows a whole red-blushed peach above a cut half revealing pale flesh, pink near the skin, and a dark brown pit. Handwritten inscriptions in the lower left and right identify the variety "Ford" from Arlington Farm, Rosslyn, Alexandria County, Virginia, with dates in August 1911. The work is attributed to Amanda Almira Newton in 1911.
