About this work

A watercolor pomological study shows a whole peach with yellow skin and red blush above a halved peach revealing pale flesh and a deeply furrowed pit. The sheet bears handwritten labels naming the variety "Florida's Own," the grower in Lake Helen, Volusia County, Florida, and the date 1903, with the artist attributed as Bertha Heiges.
