About this work
A watercolor study on cream paper shows three whole dark blue plums and one halved plum revealing green flesh and a pale pit. The fruit is rendered with careful shading and small stems, and the sheet carries a handwritten label with the variety name Mt. Logan, a location in Chillicothe, Ross Co. Ohio, and the date 8.15.1901. The work is attributed to Deborah Griscom Passmore and is part of the USDA Pomological Watercolor Collection.
