About this work
A watercolor on cream paper shows a whole red plum with a short green stem above a halved plum revealing yellow flesh and a brown pit. The fruits are rendered with soft shadows within a thin pencil border, with an inscription naming the variety, the grower in Austin, Travis County, Texas, and the artist's initials and date.
