About this work
This watercolor shows a strawberry branch with a serrated green leaf, several ripe red berries, unripe green and pale berries, a small red flower, and a halved strawberry showing its interior. The handwritten label reads 43772 Jim Dumas, lot G.B.B. Arlington Farm, and the signature Deborah Griscom Passmore dated 6.10.09. It is catalogued in the USDA Pomological Watercolor Collection and dated 1909.
