About this work
A pomological watercolor shows a whole strawberry with a green calyx and a cut section revealing its pale interior, both rendered with soft shading on a cream sheet. The handwritten inscriptions give the inventory number, variety name, locality in Iowa, and the date of September 28, 1907. The work is attributed to Elsie Lower Pomeroy and forms part of the USDA Pomological Watercolor Collection.
