Handwritten inscriptions list the catalogue number 32589, the variety name Whitter, C. G. Patten of Charles City, Floyd Co. Iowa, and the artist's signature with the date 10/17/04. The work is attributed to Deborah Griscom Passmore and dated 1904 in the USDA Pomological Watercolor Collection.
