About this work
A watercolor study shows a single round yellow apple with red blush streaks and scattered red spots, with a small green stem cavity at the top. The fruit is set in the center of a pale cream sheet, as is typical of pomological records. The work is attributed to J. Marion Shull and dated 1919 in the USDA Pomological Watercolor Collection.
