About this work

A watercolor on paper shows a whole yellow apple with a short stem above a cross-section of the same apple revealing its pale flesh and brown seeds. Handwritten inscriptions beneath the image give the variety name Trinton Early, a source from John A. Moorman of Friendsdale, Ross County, Ohio, and the date August 1, 1899, attributed to Deborah Griscom Passmore.
