About this work
A pomological watercolor shows a whole apple with a yellow-green base blushed red on one side, dotted with small green spots, above a cross-section of the same apple revealing pale flesh and dark brown seeds in the core. The sheet is bordered with a cream Greek-key pattern and signed in the lower right corner by Royal Charles Steadman, dated 1926.
