About this work
A watercolor on paper showing two views of an apple on a grey mat: a whole red-blushed fruit with yellow highlights and a short stem, and a halved fruit revealing pale flesh, a central core and dark brown seeds. The work is a pomological study by J. Marion Shull, dated 1933, from the USDA Pomological Watercolor Collection.
