This watercolor drawing shows sailing vessels moored in calm, shallow water while a rowing boat carrying a crowd of passengers, including several uniformed figures, approaches the shore. A Dutch flag flies from the tallest mast of the large ship on the right, and small figures wade or work along the wet sand.
