This pen and brown ink drawing shows a wooded mountain landscape with a dense cluster of trees at center and a winding path descending through the foreground. A small waterfall and a distant building on a hillside are visible at left, and two small figures, one seated and one standing, appear near rocks in the lower left. The work is attributed to Jacob Esselens and held by the Städel Museum.
