About this work

A grey wash and pen drawing shows a winding path climbing a hill, with a covered wagon pulled by a horse and a rider on foot beside it near the crest. Three figures stand and crouch on the lower path beside a wooden fence, while a large tree and a distant cottage frame the scene.
