A pen and ink with grey wash drawing shows a rural road running along a sandy ridge, with a horse-drawn cart and a mounted rider moving past figures on foot. In the foreground a group of travelers rests on the slope beside a leaning tree and low shrubs. The work is by Pieter de Molijn, dated 1655, and is held by the Städel Museum.
