Why is this public domain? The Städel Museum lists this work as public domain.
About this work
A pen and watercolor drawing shows a monumental church facade with paired Corinthian and Ionic columns, a central statue, and a dome with a lantern topped by a cross. Flanking brick wings, a fountain at the right, and small figures on the stepped plaza give the architecture a sense of scale. An empty oval cartouche for a cardinal's coat of arms sits in the lower margin, and the work is attributed to Jacques-François Blondel at the Städel Museum.
