This pen and brown ink drawing with grey wash, titled Der Bethlehemitische Kindermord vor einer Landschaft mit antiken Gebäuden, shows a crowded scene of soldiers attacking mothers and infants in front of a landscape with classical ruins. Arches, columns and trees frame the composition, and the cluster of struggling figures fills the foreground. The sheet is attributed to Hans Rottenhammer and dated 1616, and is held by the Städel Museum.
