About this work
This engraved print shows a canal flanked on the left by a row of trees and a long building, with pedestrians and a horse-drawn cart on the towpath. On the right, several windmills and gabled houses line the water, while small boats travel along the canal toward a distant bridge. The work is a print by Abraham Rademaker, dated 1730, held in the Rijksmuseum collection.
