About this work
A charcoal-style drawing shows three women leaning over a large open book, with one figure in a dotted dress in profile and another touching her hair behind them. A handwritten New Year greeting, dated 1895 with a Paris address on Quai Voltaire, appears at the top and bottom of the sheet.
