A windmill with lattice sails stands on a grassy bank above a still pond, its reflection rendered in horizontal strokes across the water. Low trees and a distant church spire line the flat horizon beneath a sky of loose horizontal marks. The etching is titled Landschap met plas en molen and is attributed to Willem Bastiaan Tholen, dated 1870.
