About this work
A black-and-white woodcut shows a seated male figure with the musculature of the legs, arms and torso exposed in detailed linear hatching. The figure rests its chin near one knee while one hand grips the thigh, and the anatomy is rendered with flowing parallel lines. This anatomical study by Reijer Stolk was made in 1906 and is held by the Rijksmuseum.
