This etching shows a fortified castle with towers crowning a rounded hill, surrounded by dense, stylized trees and angular rooftops below. A winding path and a pale stream cut through the dark foliage, while diagonal hatching gives the sky and slopes a turbulent, geometric energy. The print is by Lodewijk Schelfhout, dated 1912, and carries the handwritten inscription 'Le château' and 'Paris'.
