About this work
A stylized woodcut print shows a cat curled up asleep, rendered as white linear forms cut into a dark black field. The bold, angular shapes suggest fur, paws and a tail with minimal detail. This print by Julie de Graag, titled December, is dated 1917 and is held by the Rijksmuseum.
