A pencil drawing shows a cat lying on its side, facing left, with its head tilted downward and its legs stretched out. The shading is soft and the animal's white chest and paws contrast with its darker coat. The sheet is enclosed by a thin ruled border, and the work is catalogued as Liggende kat, naar links, van boven gezien by Jean Bernard, dated 1775.
