A broad harbour view shows a large sailing ship with furled and unfurled sails crossing the water while small rowing boats and fishing figures occupy the rocky foreground. Pale stone fortifications and a round tower with a flag line the right and left edges under a sky of pink-tinged clouds. Anton Schranz painted this work in 1817, and it is held in the Royal Collection.
