This monochrome painting shows a wide view over parkland toward the Gothic chapel of Eton College, seen from a stone terrace with a cast-iron bench and an old cannon in the foreground. Several birds perch on the parapet and wall, and a bird pecks at the stone paving. Frederick Goodall painted this view in 1889, and it is held by the Royal Collection.
