This painting from Tosa Mitsuyoshi shows two riders crossing an arched wooden bridge over a green hillside, while three figures watch from a palace veranda above. Gold leaf clouds fill the composition, and the figures wear richly patterned robes. The work illustrates Chapter Twenty-Five, "Fireflies," from The Tale of Genji, and is held by the Princeton University Art Museum.
