The painting shows the Virgin Mary seated and draping a richly embroidered chasuble over the kneeling figure of Saint Ildefonso, while a winged angel holds the garment aloft. Angels with a music book and trumpet fill the clouds above, and a kneeling woman holding a candle appears at the lower right. This work, Imposición de la casulla a San Ildefonso by Santiago Morán, is dated 1603 and held by the Museo del Prado.
