A large oil painting shows soldiers in dark uniforms with red trim boarding and gathering beside a passenger train on a wet station platform. Women, children and onlookers crowd the platform, and a small stall with bottles stands at the right beside a red and yellow bundle. The painting is titled "¡A la guerra!", was made by Alberto Pla y Rubio in 1895, and is held by the Museo del Prado.
