About this work
A color lithographic poster advertising the Cirque d'Hiver, with the words "Tous les Soirs" printed at lower right. White rabbits perform circus tricks on a red seesaw, a small table, and a drum, while others leap across the scene and emerge from a torn paper circle at the top. The bottom edge shows rabbits among lit candles and sparks, and the poster is attributed to an anonymous French artist of the 19th century, dated 1888, in the Musée Carnavalet collection.
