A procession of elaborately costumed performers, trumpeters, and elephants carrying decorated howdahs winds across a yellow ground, with a large figure in ornate gold headdress holding a staff at the centre. The anonymous French work is dated 1887 and is held by the Musée Carnavalet, Paris.
