About this work
This 1889 poster by an anonymous French artist advertises the Eden Théâtre on Rue Boudreau near the Grand Opéra in Paris. A dancer in a dark, sparkling tutu raises two arrows overhead against a radiant teal background, flanked by smaller figures of dancers and a scene of a performer on stage. The bold display lettering of the title dominates the upper portion of the sheet.
