About this work
A stylized seascape shows a deep blue curving bay bordered by pale sand, with gilded wave lines rippling across the water. Three white cranes fly over the sea while two wooden boats rest on a small rocky promontory at the right edge. This print, Plate 15 from Kamisaka Sekka's A Thousand Grasses, is dated 1900.
